Marpissas east rises the hill of Kefalos. At the top of the hill stands the monastery of St. Anthony, built in the 17th century. Hikers will enjoy the climb to the top of the hill. On the way we meet scattered stones, castle ruins and remnants of destroyed churches. The Venetian castle was destroyed in 1537 by the pirate Barbarossa, when the Venetian domination ended in Paros. Reaching the top, the visitor can admire the monastery, but a lovely view to the eastern side of the island.
